As of August 30, 2016, the American Kennel Club suspends the use of the chute (collapsed tunnel) in competition. This suspension came out of safety concerns raised by the agility community that were discussed at the AKC annual Agility Field Representatives meeting last week. A communication from the AKC states that the suspension is in effect in all courses “until the concerns can be resolved.” Field representatives will be contacting judges regarding the adoption of this change.
