At SCoot Dog Agility, we compete in many different venues, all of which have A-frame heights that vary. Because the required height adjustments are not consistent, particularly for small dogs, it has become increasingly difficult to know at what height to set the A-frame. We tabulated the specs dictated by the organizations our students more commonly trial under, had the list laminated, and then attached it to the underside of the A-frame so it is readily available for consultation.

BONUS: We created a file with the A-frame specs for U.S. agility organizations and made it available at so you can edit it and create your own custom quick reference sheet (here’s another way to access it: A-frameHeightChart). There is a Word file contained within the PDF so you can edit it to include whatever organizations you need.
